Maple Lake is the center piece of camp. The lake is seventeen acres in size and runs to a depth of twenty-five feet. This spring fed lake on the top of our mountain has great bass and bream fishing. We have canoes and rowboats that are used for fishing, casual boating and races between camp groups. All boaters are required to wear life vests and must pass a swim test.

Cabins. Maple Lake can sleep up to four-hundred and fifty campers plus staff. Guests are housed in bunkhouses of up to thirty-five plus staff. Each housing unit has smoke alarms and two or more exits.

Bring a pillow, single sheets, blanket or sleeping bag. Camp is almost 2000 feet above sea level and it can get very chilly at night.

Swimming Pool. Swim tests are given by our certified lifeguards in the Olympic Pool. Our pool has a separate diving well with two one meter springboards. This frees up the rest of the pool for intramural competitions. Along one corner is one of the most used items, a fourteen-foot high slide. The pool is fenced in and guards are on duty at campers requested times. The pool area is illuminated for night swimming.

Weight Lifting Pavilion. We have a weight lifting pavilion stocked with free weights. If you are willing to get up early, you will experience beautiful sunrises coming alive over our lake while you workout. A great start to the day!

Pavilions. There are two forty by eighty foot pavilions that border the lake. They are separated far enough from each other to hold simultaneous sessions without noise overlap. These are open air buildings with plastic sides that can be dropped in rainy weather. Each of these pavilions is completely covered with mats for wrestling or martial arts training. Mats can be removed to accomodate other activities.

A new 50 by110 foot pavilion with a 16 foot high interior was constructed. This pavilion also has mats for wrestling and cheerleading. The extra height allows instructions in lifts, mounts, and other tricks for cheerleading.

Sports and Recreation Fields. Our fields are level and flat. We have one of the leading Field Hockey Camps in the eastern United States and has continually been a large attraction because of the unique location of camp and this superb playing surface. There are two fields laid out in an L-shaped configuration, each measuring over two hundred yards long by one hundred yards wide. For the 2003 season, we will have a separate shaded training area for goalies in the field sports. Goalies will have the option of leaving their equipment on site.

Near these fields is an area where volleyball nets are located.

These fields are used for our Cheer Camps with UCA instructors and often are the starting point for Cross Country Camp.
